Note: only users with the Access Administrator role has permission to grant and remove access, and only the Commspace team may add a user as an Access Administrator.
Activate this feature and nominate your Access Administrator by completing this form.
Checks before granting access
The partner needs to be a Responsible Partner.
Partner needs to have a valid email address.
Ensure no other partner shares the same email address.
A partner shouldn't already have another Commspace login; if they do, please contact Support.
Granting access to partners
As an Access Administrator, in your office settings under the 'Partners' section you will notice a few extra buttons:
Select the partner(s) for who you wish to grant/remove access, and click on the relevant button depending on your desired result:
Grant Access: this will grant a partner access to their own Commspace profile. An additional fee for using this feature will automatically be added to your monthly billing from the next month onwards.
Remove Access: removes the access of a partner's own already existing Commspace profile. This doesn't remove them from Commspace, only removes their Commspace access. The additional fee will be removed from your billing.
💡Top tip
If you remove a partner after the 20th, you might still be billed for the partner in the following month.
You can have a look at which partners have Partner Access by managing your columns in your Partner Settings:
Terminology:
Access Granted | Access has been granted and the partner has their own login which they can use to view their own data (as well as any other partner linked to them). |
Access Billable | This indicates that the partner has access and they are being billed for this feature. |
Linked Partner | When an adviser has multiple partner records and needs a comprehensive view of their data, we link the records together and only bill them for a single partner. This can only be done by our Accounts team. |
If you want an additional user to have access to a partner's information (such as an assistant), please reach out to [email protected].
