How does bank recon work?

Bank recon will be your first item on your top, blue ribbon:

You will have Bank Statement Entries on the left-hand side, and Statements on the right-hand side:

Bank statement entries: this is where your individual bank entries will appear after you've imported them.

Statements: this refers back to your Statements tab, identifying which statements have been matched, not matched yet, or excluded from being matched. Check out this article explaining the match statuses.

How to match your bank transactions to your commission statements

Note: you will use this process after you've imported your bank transactions to Commspace. Check out this article if you need to import your bank statement first.

Step 1: Click on the transaction you want to match:

Step 2: Click on the statement you want to match to this bank transaction.

Commspace will filter according to the provider, date and amount to give you similar results.

Step 3: Click on the middle blue button that will send both the selected transaction and commission statement to create a new match.

Step 4: click on the green tick button to confirm your match.

Note: you will be prompted for a reason if there is a difference in the matched bank statement entry and commission statement totals

You've just created your first match! Now you can continue to do so until all of your bank entries are matched.
