To set up a basic Agreement go to Settings

Set up the Partners for the Agreement (if they don’t already exist).

Now you can go to Agreements and click on Add Agreement

Complete the Description, select the Default Responsible Partner and click Next

Note: You don’t have to add a Default Responsible Partner at this step if there will be different Responsible Partners – you’ll be able to select a Responsible Partner when you link your Products.

Fill in the Valid From Date and click Next

The rules can now be set up, one rule at a time:

  • The name of the Partner must be selected from the drop-down list

  • The following Allocation Sources are available:

The three options most commonly used are Total Income or Commission and Fees.

The following Allocation Strategies are available:

The Percentage gets used most of the time.

We'll have a look at the last 2 options under the Advance setup of Agreements.

  • Fill in the percentage

  • Click Next

Click on Add Rule and add the rest of the rules

Once all the rules are set up and each Allocation Source adds up to 100%, you can Save the Agreement. It is now ready to be used.

In the following example, the commission was split between Commission and Fees. Otherwise only Total Income would have been selected.

Please note that you can add as many Partners as you need in one Agreement, as long as the total adds up to 100% per Allocation Source.
