How to replace generated ID Numbers and what to do if you get an error message that the ID Number already exist

Sometimes it happen that you must create a Generated ID Number for a client, simply because the correct ID Number isn’t available or you need to close off and you can’t wait for the ID number.

Now, when you receive the correct ID Number, you want to replace the Generated ID Number.

In most cases it is easy to replace the ID Number, since the client only have one Product or one Generated ID Number for all the Products.

You can replace the Generated ID Number by going to Clients

Then click on the ID Number you want to replace

Now delete the information in the cell, paste or type the correct ID Number and click on the check mark

If you do all the above and you get the following error message, it means that a client with the specific ID Number already exists

What you need to do now, is to move the Policies from the client with the Generated ID Number to the client with the correct ID Number.
